Yesterday my wife (or do I have to say partner) and I drove out to Dural to a Bonsai place.

Now as you can gather by this site that I have a thing about school zones.

Yesterday we traveled through unfamiliar territory,as we live on the other side of Sydney, and drove through many school zones.

Four of these I didn't notice untill I saw the back of the school zone sign as we were LEAVING the school zone.

If it had've been "school zone time" and there had been a diligent Policeman there, I quite rightly could've been booked.

I still say that flashing lights at school zones is the way to go.

I DON'T BITE!

I was emailed a couple of days ago by a driver who has be booked at Beverly Hills, and I replied with my phone number.

I would've offered moral support, and perhaps could give advice if he does take his case to court.

He hasn't phoned me back.

I'm on your side if you are a normal average driver who tries to do the right thing.

Don't be shy and I won't bite and I'm free.

Last December I took a photo of the last sign before the North speed camera on King Georges rd. Beverly Hills before you come out of Stoney Creek rd heading west.

So if you miss that sign turn right and head north there is no other sign to tell what the speed limit before you pass the fixed speed camera.

Driving on Cavers rd heading up to River rd Oyster bay, you pass two 50 km/ph signs after Box rd, and then there are THREE (pictured) as you come up to River rd. WHY?

The RTA can afford three signs here, but signs are in short supply at Beverly Hills
